Skills Development

TCI Foundation works for the skill development of tribal women and girls of Kara Block and conducted regular training and imparted skills for tailoring, stitching and embroidery to 40 women in two quarters; after the training they were independent to initiate their own setups or to work with other establishments.

The youngsters (boys and girls) of Kara Block of Jharkhand were imparted computer training by TCI Foundation, enabled them to setup their own establishments or to work with other establishments.


Road Safety Drive

TCI Foundation in association with JK Tyre conducted the Road Safety Camps at Chandigarh, Haridwar, Vashi, Bhiwandi and xxx. The drive was initiated for heavy duty vehicle drivers. Mechanics and other allied population in Transport Areas to disseminate education and information on road and traffic rules and regulations in India and to standard operating procedure to tackle situations in the event of emergency situations. The drive was supported by the State Transport Department and State Traffic Police. The renowned trainers were facilitated by Society for Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM).


Transystem Education Grant-in-Aid

TCI-DAV Pubic School under TCI Foundation, being located in remote area of Jharkhand is always in forefront to educate the tribal area children in the Kara Block of Distt. Khunti. The school has gradually gained students strength of more than 613 in the academic year 2016-17. The school was in media limelight for its achievement in sports and extracurricular activities. Ms Apporva Surin won Silver Medal in 100m race in DAV National Sports held in Ranchi and was selected for participation in Zonal competitions. The school was credited with CGPA of 9.8 in the academic session 2015-16. The school along with education also involved students in social activities by celebrating World Environment Day, World Sanitation Day, Swach Bharat Abhiyan and other initiatives.

The Transystem Logistics Internationa-l Limited initiated Educational Grant-in-Aid of worth Rs. 5,00,000/- (five lakh rupees) to the deserving and economically weaker students of TCI-DAV Public School for the academic year 2016-17. The grant-in-aid was awarded to the students after rigorous evaluation of economic status of their families and consideration of merit after conduct of competitive exam and sports trials in the school in the presence of parents and village authorities.

TCI-DAV School was evaluated by Central Board of Secondary Examination (CBSE) and was awarded its recognition for next five academic years.


National Capacity Building Initiative

The National AIDS Control Organization Government of India, in collaboration with Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) and TCI Foundation conducted three days Master Trainers Training at New Delhi from 20-22 September 2016, wherein eight officials from TCI Foundation were deputed for Mater Trainers Training including Mr. Akram Quazi Project Coordinator Bhilwara, Mr. Gaurav Maurya Project Coordinator Haridwar, Mr. Punit Kumar Program Officer HQs, Mr. Shivendra Kumar Jha Project Manager HQs, Ms. Sonia Manager Quality Control & Sustainability HQs, Ms. Namita Mehra Executive HR and Ms. Sheelu Juneja Training Consultant. The trained Master Trainers shall impart the training across India to the State AIDS Control Society supported project staff. The creation of Master Trainer cadre shall be useful tool for the country to be used in future for strengthening the HIV/AIDS control and prevention initiative of Government of India.
